Pakistan Army Scholarships & Courses Awareness Session Organized at Isra University
The Isra University, through the Directorate of Student Activities & Athletics, organized an insightful awareness session on Pakistan Army Scholarships & Courses at the Asadullah Kazi Auditorium. The event was graced by the presence of Lt. Col. Paaris, Commanding Officer, and Maj. Almas, Selection Officer, from the Pakistan Army Selection & Recruitment Centre (S&RC), Hyderabad.
The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed at the Vice Chancellor’s office for a formal meet and greet, where the importance of fostering student development and collaboration with national institutions was highlighted. Following the reception, the session commenced at the Asadullah Kazi Auditorium, where Prof. Dr. Suhail Kazi, Chairman of the Admissions & Outreach Committee and Director Admissions, delivered a welcoming address. He expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army and the guest speakers for visiting Isra University to apprise the students of the available career and scholarship avenues. He emphasized the significance of such interactions in guiding the youth towards national service and professional growth.
The session featured an engaging presentation by Lt. Col. Paaris, who elaborated on the diverse scholarships and career paths available in the Pakistan Army for 2nd Year to Final Year Medical, Dental, Nursing, and Engineering students. He highlighted eligibility criteria, application processes, and the numerous benefits offered by the Armed Forces. The speaker also shared real-life success stories to inspire students to pursue these prestigious and rewarding opportunities. A lively Q&A session followed, allowing students to engage directly with the officers and clarify their questions regarding military careers and selection procedures.
The session was attended by senior members of the university administration including Prof. Dr. Salman Shafiq, Dean, Faculty of Dental Sciences; Dr. Sajjad Kazi, Director, Isra Hospital; Dr. Mehmood Mughal, Director, Media & Public Relations; Lt. Col. (R) Iftikhar Hassan, Administrator, Isra Hospital; Prof. Dr. Hussain Bux Kolachi, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences; and Dr. Saad Baloch, Additional Director, Student Activities & Athletics & Secretary, Admissions & Outreach Committee, along with other faculty members. They lauded the initiative for building a vital bridge between academia and professional military opportunities. Certificates of Participation were awarded to students before the group photograph, marking the conclusion of the event. The program concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Mehmood Mughal. who extended heartfelt thanks to the Worthy Guests for their valuable insights and to the university administration for supporting initiatives that empower students to serve the nation with pride and purpose.
