Chancellor

Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, is an electronic engineer and ICT professional with extensive experience in software development, teaching, research, administration and leadership in academia. He draws experience from a diverse background of having worked in the American telecom sector and software development industry as well as serving in the academia in Pakistan.

He obtained Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) from Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan, Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Purdue University, USA and Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand.

He worked as a Software Engineer at Micro Data Base Systems, Inc., USA and as a consultant at Verizon Data Services, USA before joining Isra University. He has presented and published research papers at premier conferences and in journals of world class repute. He serves as an editorial board and program committee member on various leading international conferences and journals.

He is also a HEC Approved Supervisor for Ph.D (Computer Science & Engineering). He served as the Management Representative at Isra University for ISO 9001:2008 QMS Certification. He has served as the Project Director for various National and International grants in the technical & development sector. Presently, he is the Chancellor of Isra University.

Vice Chancellor

Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi holds a doctoral degree in computer science from stony brook University, USA. He specializes in computer systems with particular focus on computer networks. He has an experience of over 10 years in teaching, research, and academic administration. He has been awarded with several scholarships and awards: HEC overseas scholarship for doctoral studies, academic fellowship for Master of Science at Asian Institute of Technology, silver medal for Bachelor of Computer Science at Isra University, and silver medal for Master of Computer Science at Isra University. He has presented and published in reputable international conferences. He is presently the Vice Chancellor of Isra University.

Registrar & Director Finance

Mr. Ghulam Rasool Kazi is currently working as the Director Finance & Registrar of Isra University and is MBA by qualification. He is a seasoned professional with multinational companies experience at Regional and Country level positions spanning over a period of 18 years with Kodak Limited (Pakistan Branch), a US Based multinational company and Clariant Pakistan Limited, a Swiss based multinational company. Mr. Kazi was looking after the finance function comprising of Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting & Audit and Budgeting. He was also responsible for Operations, Business Development, Strategic Planning and Supply Chain of Distributor Countries of South West Asia Cluster comprising of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. He also served as the Country Manager / Managing Director of Kodak Limited (Pakistan Branch) for a period of 5 years. These diversified experiences have added a new dimension to his wealth of knowledge and experience. His strong leadership, focused and analytical abilities with strong written and communications skills have resulted in driving financial, administrative, operational and marketing initiatives with set objectives for high quality standards for different stakeholders.

His multidimensional experiences have resulted in developing strong financial system and procedures, automation of Accounting Vouchers signature system, online internet banking and many other initiatives in a short span of 6 years at Isra University.
