COMMANDANT CMH HYDERABAD MET WITH VICE CHANCELLOR
“Isra University will provide full cooperation to Pakistan Army Medical Corps in various medical specialties to improve patient care for Defense force personnel and civilians. Such mechanism will be developed between CMH, Hyderabad and Isra University Hospital”. This was stated by Prof. Nazeer Ashraf Laghari, Vice Chancellor Isra University while talking to delegation led by Brig. Irfan Khan at his office. The visit was to motivate 4th and 5th Year MBBS to join Army as Medical ‘M’ Cadet for which advertisement has been published in national and local newspapers. In his talk to 3rd & 4th year MBBS students of Isra University, Brig. Arif Khan mentioned that registration process will continue till last week of October for which students can register on concerned web site which is given in the advertisement. Brig. Irfan Khan showed documentary film about role of Army in peace and war time in Pakistan. He also presented the induction procedure in Army Medical Corps in different fields like hospital Management, clinical specialist, and basic medical science specialist etc.
Question answer session was also held at the end in which students asked numerous questions. He said physical fitness, hardworking and merit are important criteria to move in various ranks in army and there is no gender consideration in Army Medical Corps. He also shared how SOP’s of COVID-19 are ensured in CMH Hyderabad and how social distancing is practiced. Pharmacy to regular patients is delivered on arrival or by post. He advised students to adopt SOP’s themselves and create awareness in public. Prof. Shafi Muhammad Jatoi thanked Brig. Arif Khan whose hometown is Hyderabad itself. Prof. Dr. Abdul Sattar Memon, Pro Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences, Prof. Asif Burni, Col. (R) Iftikhar, Col. (R) Zahid Qureshi, Major Asif, Dr. Salman Ahmed Farsi Kazi, Dr. Sajjad Kazi, Mr. Irfan Haroon and over 100 4th & 5th Year MBBS students were present. Col. Iftikhar presented Traditional Ajrak and Topi to the guests.
