Introduction
The Isra School of Optometry offers training and education in the field of vision sciences. It greatly contributes in producing human resources required at mid-level ophthalmic personnel both nationally and internationally. The building has been donated by Sight Savers International (SSI) by virtue of the charitable services offered by the Al-Ibrahim Eye Hospital in the field of eye care.
Bachelor of Science in Vision Sciences
This program is offered by Isra School of Optometry, a constituent body of the Isra University. The institute is located in Malir Karachi. The objective of the four year bachelor’s degree program in vision science is to develop mid-level ophthalmic personnel in the field of refraction, optometry, Orthoptics and ophthalmic equipment maintenance. The human resources developed in these areas are needed in-house, at primary level hospitals in the country and at higher levels nationally and internationally.
