ISRA UNIVERSITY ORGANIZED “FREE PALESTINE DAY” WITH PEACE WALK AND WAKEFULNESS SESSION

Isra University observed “Free Palestine Day” by holding a peace walk and awareness session in support of justice and equality and to increase understanding of the ongoing situation in Palestine, the event gathered with distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, the Vice Chancellor and Dr. Hameedullah Kazi former Chancellor of the Isra university, Deans, Faculty Members, Students, and Staff.

The 29th November 2023 day is recognized by United Nation as International Day of Solidarity with the People of Palestine. Since then, it has become evident that the Palestinian people have faced a ruthless assault while carrying out their nonviolent struggle for the right to self-determination.

The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi & Former Chancellor, Isra University Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi emphasised the monumental significance of the event, symbolising Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

The speakers Stressing the critical importance of national unity, they called for a collective expression against Israeli aggression and urged the entire nation to stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi & Former Chancellor, Isra University Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi underscored the need to send a powerful message that “Pakistan stands firmly with the oppressed Palestinians. The call for unity echoes Pakistan’s commitment to championing the rights and justice for the people of Palestine on the international stage”.

The worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi and the Former Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, Dr. Kinza Yousfani, Chairperson, Department of Management Sciences (DMS), and students’ moving remarks profoundly affected the audience. The dignitaries appreciate the efforts of organizing team members consisting of Ms. Mahnoor Laghari, Mr. Adnan Memon, Ms. Monaima Shaikh, Mr. Naeem Dawar, Mr. Riaz Ahmed Shaikh, and Ms. Maria Khushk.

Subsequently, the panel discussion was performed by faculty and students to delve into topics such as the conflict between Israel and Palestine, the role of organizations in the economy, concerns related to accords, agreements, and declarations, and paid homage to Palestine’s mother land and innocent children.

The event started with a few versus from Holy Quran and National Anthem proceeding towards with a powerful tribute to explain the meaning and significance of the occasion. Following that, the audience chanted a slogan to raise awareness in regard to free Palestine. The Department of Management (DMS) Science students performed a powerful skits and dialogues to honor the land of Palestine which tells the story of Palestine’s pain, suffering and mental grief.

The admirable efforts of Isra University, Hyderabad in planning this walk, and awareness session demonstrate the significance of global solidarity and understanding in tackling the current Palestinian issue and the fight for justice and equality for the Palestinian people.
