Isra University, Islamabad Campus Celebrates the Graduation of 407 Students at its 5th Convocation 2021 Islamabad, 31st July 2021: Mr. Zahir-ud-Din Babar Awan, Advisor to Prime Minister of Pakistan for the Parliamentary Affairs congratulated the students of Isra University, Islamabad Campus on its 5th annual convocation ceremony held on 31st July 2021 at Islamabad Campus. Mr. Awan encouraged students to set a goal in their life and work hard to achieve that goal and to make their nation proud of them. Further, he asked the students to serve their country and humanity, especially those who are deprived of basic health care facilities. To eradicate poverty, it is important to provide quality health care to the poor. Lt. Gen Nasser Khan Janjua, (R) HI (M) Former National Security Advisor Govt. Of Pakistan Joined the 5th convocation of Isra University, Islamabad campus as a Guest of Honor and congratulated the students on their big day. He also instructed the students to be responsible citizens and use their capacity for the growth of this country. Moreover, he also said the students to be thankful of their parents who are the reason behind this success. The students work really hard during their academic life and today is your day to celebrate it, said the chancellor, Prof. Dr. Asadullah Kazi while addressing to the students. He also said that today is very important and joyful day for the students who will be awarded with the degrees and they’ll get into a new life. He also encouraged the students to be enthusiastic in life to serve the nation because we have to remember the sayings of our Founder Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Prof. Dr. Kazi told that Isra University works for human welfare and also provides scholarships to the needy and deserving students. He also highlighted the two other campuses of Isra University in Hyderabad and Karachi which are also affiliated by HEC, Pakistan. The Chancellor congratulated the students and wished them for their better future. However, Prof. Dr. Nazeer Ashraf Laghari, Vice Chancellor, Isra University said that today is the most important day in the life of every student because every student works really hard to pass every exam and get his/her desired degree. Moreover, he advised the students that they should serve the country during their professional life and become the leaders of the nation. He also said that never fear failure but learn from your mistakes. The Vice chancellor informed the students that success is not an immediate thing, but it takes time, efforts, patience, and hard work. Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has ranked Isra University as one of the best private universities and our degrees are affiliated with HEC and the medical degrees are affiliated with PM&DC and College of Physicians and Surgeons, said the Vice Chancellor. Moreover, Isra University’s name is mentioned in Faimer, World Directory of Medical Scholars and World Health Organization. However, the nursing program is also affiliated with Pakistan Nursing Council. Also, other programs like BBA, MBA, Computers, Economics, Engineering are also affiliated. Prof. Dr. Laghari said that the University’s hospital and laboratory is equipped with the modern equipment. In the end, Prof. Dr. Laghari congratulated the students and distributed the degrees among 407 students, out of which, 289 degrees were of MBBS, DPT, BS Nursing. However, 46 students got their post-graduation degrees in Medical and Rehabilitation Sciences and 49 Students of BS Engineering, 8 students were of MS Electronic Engineering, 12 were of MSc Engineering. Moreover, 2 students got their PhD degrees in Rehabilitation sciences and 1 student in Engineering sciences. On the occasion, s Sajjida Hayat, Faiza Javed, Iqra Shoukat, Sameena Bibi, Amal Mumtaz, SHmin Arooj, Mohsin Khurshid, Khuram Shahzad, Ghiasuddin, Shayan Shahid, Muhammad Waqas Ayoub, M. Nawab Zada, Jawad Majeed secured gold medals in their degree programs. However, Muhammad Saad, Saira Safdar, Kainat Hassan, Tanzila Kousar, Syeda Dua e Fatima, Muhammad Yasir, Noor Muhammad, M.Qadeer Khan, Usama Zohaib and Mudassar Ali secured Silver medals. Besides, Muhammad Hamza Hashmi, Muhammad Hamza Fateh, Mahnoor Murtaza, Ayesha Qasim, Awais Ashraf, Arsalan Mahzood and Usama Gul secured bronze medals.
