Graduate Programs

MS/ M. Phil & Ph. D PROGRAMS

The faculty of Engineering Science and Technology also offers degree programs in MS / M. Phil and Ph. D. The MS program is offered in the fields of computer science, telecommunication and information technology. It is a two year, full-time program of 36 credits based on 24 credits of coursework and 12 credits of research.

The program also offers a variety of elective courses in novel technologies and emerging trends in computer science, which help broaden the student's field of expertise. The M. Phil program on the other hand is a two year, full time commitment of 48 credits based on 24 credits of coursework and 24 credits of research. The M. Phil leading to Ph. D program is a three year, full time commitment of 96 credits based on 30 credits of coursework and 66 credits of research. The Ph. D program is a two and a half years, full time commitment of 84 credits based on 18 credits of coursework and 66 credits of research.

Undergraduate Programs

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (COMPUTER SCIENCE)

This is a four year, full-time, program of 136 credits. It offers courses covering the core areas of computer science along with technology oriented courses. The graduates of this program will be well equipped to meet the challenges posed by the dynamic needs of the software industry.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY)

This is a four year, full-time, program of 136 credits. It offers a mixed blend of computer science, management and communication. The program is designed to produce graduates who can utilize their technical expertise and interpersonal skills to meet the job requirements of the information technology industry and play a vital role in the growing entrepreneurship in these areas.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (SOFTWARE ENGINEERING)

This is a four year, full-time, program of 136 credits. It offers courses covering core areas in computing along with courses in software design, development, maintenance and project management. The graduates of this program will be equipped with the skills required to meet the mounting challenges in the field of software engineering.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (TELECOMMUNICATION)

This is a four year, full-time, program of 136 credits. It offers courses covering a broad spectrum ranging from basic telecommunication systems to modern mobile wireless communication systems. The program is designed to produce graduates who can meet the growing demand of the emerging telecom industry and can play an active role in enhancing the telecommunication infrastructure in the country.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (ELECTRONICS)

This is a four year, full-time program of 136 credits. It offers courses covering a broad spectrum ranging from basic circuit systems to advanced integrated circuits. The program is designed to produce graduates who can meet the growing industrial demand of qualified personnel in design, manufacturing and maintenance of electronic systems.

BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (ELECTRICAL)

This is a four year, full-time program of 136 credits. It offers a degree in the parent discipline of Electrical Engineering, along with specialization in the three streams of Electronics, Telecommunication and Computer Systems. The program is designed to produce engineering graduates who have sufficient breadth in the field of electrical engineering to meet the diverse demands of the industry. The program has been designed in accordance with HEC guidelines and is offered subject to the approval and accreditation of the Pakistan Engineering Council.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Bhatt (Dean)

Prof. Dr. Bhatti has more than 42 years of teaching experience at graduate and postgraduate levels. He has published more than twenty papers and participated in several conferences and seminars. He worked in the Government of Sindh as Director Technical Education Sindh and Introduced B.Tech (Pass) and B.Tech (Pass) (Hons) Courses for the first time in Technical Education. Presently, he is working as Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Science & Technology, at Isra University Hyderabad. He has done Ph.D. in 1973 from UK, with the specialization of Digital Electronics Communications Engineering.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiq Abro (Chairperson)

Prof. Dr. Abro has 38 years of teaching, Administrative & Research experience in Electrical Engineering Department. He has remained Member of the Statutory bodies in various Universities. He was the first Pro-Vice Chancellor of MUET, Jamshoro. He has done Ph.D Electrical Power, in 1982, & Post Doc. Power Systems Protection in 1995 from UK. Presently, he is working as a Professor & Chairperson at Isra University. His area of specialization is Electrical Power.

Prof Dr. Ahsanullah Baloch (Professor)

Prof. Dr. Baloch has 37 years of teaching experience in Computer Science Department. He has done B.Sc & M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, Ph.D Computer Science from UK in 1994 and Post. Doc. From UK in 2001. Presently, he is working as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, at Isra University. His area of specialization is Computer Science.

Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi (Professor)

Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi has over 14 years of national, international experience in teaching, research and software development. He is Computer engineering professional. He has done BE Electronics from MUET, Jamshoro. MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Purdue University, USA and Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand. He draws experience from a diverse background of working in the American telecom sector and software development industry as well as serving in key position in the academia. He has presented and published several research papers. He is also an HEC approved supervisor for Ph.D. He is the Pro-Vice Chancellor, E&MS at Isra University, Hyderabad.

Mutee U Rehman (Assistant Professor)

Mr. Mutee U Rehman has 12 years experience in Computer Science & Information Technology. He has done M.Phil (CS) in 2007. He has worked as a senior developer at FAST-NU Karachi and Assistant Professor at Hamdard University Karachi. He has written more than fifteen research articles published in various journals and conference proceedings. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor and Head of I.T Serve Department at Isra University.

Asma Ansari (Assistant Professor)

Mrs. Ansari has 15 years teaching experience in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department. Presently she is working as Assistant Professor at Isra University. She has done M.E Computer Systems Engineering from MUET, Jamshoro. Her area of specialization is Computer Systems Engineering.

Amber Baig (Assistant Professor)

Ms. Amber has 13 years teaching experience in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department. Presently she is working as Assistant Professor at Isra University. She has done B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science, and MS in 2000 from University of Sindh, Jamshoro. Her area of specialization is Computer Science.

Sumbul Khowaja (Assistant Professor)

She has 08 years teaching experience in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department. Presently she is working as Assistant Professor at Isra University. She has done MCS in 2005 from Isra University Hyderabad. Her area of specialization is Computer Science.

Mr. Kamran Khowaja (Assistant Professor)

Mr. Khowaja has 12 years teaching experience in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor at Isra University. He has done Master of Science in 2004 from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. His area of specialization is Computer Sciences.

Mr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi (Assistant Professor)

Mr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi has 08 years teaching experience in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department. Presently he is working as an Assistant Professor at Isra University. He has done Master in Computer Science from Isra University, Hyderabad in 2003 and Master of Science from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, in 2005. His area of specialization is Computer Science.

Mr. Naveed Ghani (Assistant Professor)

Mr. Naveed Ghani has 8 years experience in Computing & Information Technology. He has done M.sc in Mobile Computing from the University of Staffordshire, UK. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Isra University.

Mr. Abdul Ghani Rajput (Assistant Professor)

Mr. Ghani has 8 years experience in the field of Computer Science. He has done Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Twente, Netherlands & M.E in Communication Systems Networks from MUET. He has been awarded merit scholarship by the University of Twente, the Netherlands for doing PG studies. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Isra University.

Mr. Mir Afzal Ahmed Talpur (Lecturer)

Mr. Mir Afzal has more than 8 years teaching experience in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. He has done M.Sc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Sindh, Jamashoro. Presently, he is working as a Lecturer, in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Isra University.

Mr. Saad Khan Baloch (Lecturer)

Mr. Saad Baloch has 3 years teaching experience in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. He has done M.E in Power System from the MUET, Jamashoro. Presently, he is working as a Lecturer, in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Isra University.

Ms. Qurat-Ul-Ain Shah (Senior Lecturer)

Ms. Qurat-Ul-Ain Shah has 4 years of teaching experience in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She has done Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from Isra University in 2009 and perusing her Ph.D since 2010 from Isra University. Presently, she is working as Senior Lecturer, in the Department of Computer Science, Isra University, Hyderabad.

Mr. Inam-ur-Rehman Junejo (Lecturer)

Mr. Inam-ur-Rehman has 3 years experience in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. He has done MS Bionano Engineering from Hanyang University, South Korea. He has been awarded scholarship from Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for MS level Training in Korea. Presently, he is working as a Lecturer, in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Isra University.

Mr. Adnan Asghar Ali (Lecturer)

Mr. Adnan has 5 years teaching experience in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. He has done BS Electronics from the University of Sindh, Jamshoro He has been awarded Silver Medal for standing first in Bachelor of Science (Electronics). Presently, he is working as a Lecturer, in the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Isra University.
